This is a wonderful summary of how meditation affects the brain. As someone who also starts her day with meditation (and I LOVE Headspace!), I can attest to this 1000%. I think just educating people on how meditation can help you relax and combat anxiety and depression is one thing. But I think the gold is — and you alluded to it perfectly — is that meditation points us in the direction of creating new habit patterns through new thought patterns. What we think is what we attract. So, if we can become aware of our negative patterns and thoughts that create them, we can in turn, create positive patterns that steer us in the direction in which we want to go in.
